Published in the RARE FIRST EDITION of " Reizen van Cornelis de Bruyn...".. Dated: Delft, 1698. Drawn accurately from nature by the famous Dutch traveler and topographer Cornelis de Bruyn (1652-1726) during his voyage to the Levant. ONLY IN THE FIRST EDITION of 1698 this print has the size of a double-sheet, while the later French edition of 1725 has this view minimized to a quarter and placed together with an additional view on one sheet. Scarce large paper edition with exceptional large margins. Original center fold. This is de Bruyn's only Constantinople view in a classic size and not over-size panorama. Net size: 30 x 23cm.
