This bronze statue of an Edo merchant was created by Natsume Sadayoshi 夏目貞良. It is believed to be from around 90 years ago. The merchant is carrying his luggage in a furoshiki cloth on his back. His topknot is on his head and he appears to be gazing into the distance. It is an impressive bronze statue measuring approximately 48cm in size. Natsume Sadayoshi was born in 1895 (Meiji 28) and was a metalworker active in the early Showa period.
