His degree in archaeology from one of the best British universities and passion for Chinese art is reflected in this beautiful Chinese charger. The Chinese charger decorated with classic auspicious motif; a lively garden scene featuring a flying fenghuang and a galloping qilin, rockery, and vegetation, the underside with Sotheby's label, and another marked 92. Width: 39 cm Height: 6 cm Condition: Good overall condition, with brightly preserved enamels, broken into a few large pieces, and reattached using only the original pieces, all done to the highest standard, and invisible to the naked eye; some manufacturing flaws such as glaze gaps and flakes along the rim.
