Charming ancient Greek Attic black-figure miniature aryballos (or small lekythos), circa 550-500 BC. Terracotta with glossy black slip. Classic decoration with tongue pattern on the shoulder, dotted bands, and rays above the foot. Single handle and small disc foot. Height: 7.1 cm (approximately). Condition: Very good condition and intact. Beautiful glossy surface with light earthy deposits, minor ancient chips on rim and foot (typical for the type). No restoration or repairs. Very attractive patina. Provenance: Old European private collection, acquired decades ago. A delightful and perfectly preserved small vessel, highly sought after by collectors of ancient Greek miniature pottery.
