Figürliche Kaminuhr - Samuel Marti - Glas, Marmor, Rohzink - 1920-1930

Magnificent -Art Deco figural mantel clock. This style of clock typically dates to the Art Deco period, around the 1920s. It is made from marble and onyx, topped with a figure often made of spelter. A beautifully detailed piece of the finest quality, attributed to the Famous Artist of the Art Deco period. Sculptures from spelter, mounted on a high-end design marble and onyx clock case. The case is made of cream-coloured and brown marble with polished front surfaces and clear geometric contrasts. The clock is crowned by a finely modelled statuette - a kneeling dancer with a short haircut, next to whom lies a black ball. This characteristic scene from the 1920s was inspired by the ideal of the modern woman of the time, who symbolised elegance, emancipation, and self-determination during a period of social change. The female body was no longer idealised in the classical sense, but re-staged in movement, sport and dance. The silver-framed dial features a square design and Arabic numerals in block-like typography, typical of Art Deco style. The hands, also typical of the period, complement the aesthetic of the clock, which is characterised by geometric contours. The clock mechanism features the name "S. Marti" and the inscription "Médaille d'Or". Samuel Marti was a renowned French clockmaker based in Paris during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The clock has been checked and serviced by our clock-master. very detailed, lovely design Photos are part of the description. It will be sent with safe packaging.
