LEGO Set 374 – Fire Station (Classic Town, 1978)

LEGO set 374 – Fire Station is een vintage Classic Town-brandweerkazerne uit 1978. Het is een van de grotere en herkenbare Town-bouwsets uit de eerste jaren van de traditionele minifiguurperiode. 

De set bestaat uit een brandweerkazerne-gebouw, dat meerdere kamers bevat en voorzien is van een kloktoren met een sticker-uurwerk. De kazerne kan worden opengevouwen met scharnieren om toegang tot het interieur te geven. 

Bij de set horen ook twee brandweervoertuigen: een laddertruck en een kleiner brandweervoertuig met een aanhangwagen voor gereedschap zoals pijlen en schop, waarmee meerdere speelse scenario’s gerealiseerd kunnen worden. 

De set bevat vier brandweerminifiguren met bijpassende uitrusting, die passen bij de klassieke Town-stijl uit de jaren ’70 en ’80. Eén sticker ontbreekt op een minifiguur.

Dit model werd voornamelijk in Europa uitgebracht, met het kenmerkende gele gebouw dat verschilt van sommige andere internationale varianten (zoals de rode versie in de VS). 

Als Classic Town-set heeft 374 bijgedragen aan het vroege LEGO-stadsthema en is tegenwoordig zeldzaam als complete vintage set, mede door het relatief beperkte productievolume in die periode.

Deze set verkeert in uitzonderlijk goede staat en wordt geleverd inclusief de originele handleiding. Door de staat en volledigheid is dit een bijzonder aantrekkelijk exemplaar voor verzamelaars van vintage LEGO Town.
