La Legnano nasce nel 1902 con il marchio “Lignon” che diventerà successivamente Legnano. Nel 1908 la gestione passa a Emilio Bozzi che già possedeva i marchi Frejus e Perla. Negli anni 40 e 50 è la più accanita concorrente della Bianchi.Hanno corso con Legano i più grandi campioni: Binda (tre campionati del mondo), L.Guerra, Gino Bartali. Fausto Coppi all’inizio carriera. Ercole Baldini.
La bici presentata è una LEGNANO ROMA del 1952 con n° di serie del telaio DE0425 ed è stata restaurata prestando particolare attenzione a mantenere l’originalità del colore. Monta gruppo Campagnolo Gran Sport a 10 rapporti. Guarnitura Simplex con pedivelle marcate Legnano. Freni e leve freni Universal Extra Brev. 453949. Attacco manubrio GARA in ferro. Sella in pelle ITALIA Regis.39024 con bullone reggisella piatto. Pedali Campagnolo con laccetti in cuoio. Cerchi da 64cm con tubolari Vittoria Rally 23-28”. Altezza orizzontale 56cm, altezza verticale 54cm. Lo stemma della Legnano con Alberto da Giussano è rivettato originale. Peso 11,200Kg
