Caja de guantes, elaborada en "bois noirci" y latón. Tiene una ventana oval en la parte superior con un dibujo (posiblemente no original) y adornos en latón en parte superior y laterales. Firmado "TAHAN Fab a PARIS" en la cerradura. 
En buen estado de conservación, las fotos forman parte de la descripción.  
Tahan, Jean Pierre Alexandre ((1813-1892), ebanista y artesano parisino, es celebre por haber sido nombrado "Ebaniste del Empereur" por Napoleón III. Tuvo su taller desde 1849 a 1866 en la rue de la Paix en París, y posteriormente en el boulevard des Italiens. 
Ganador de varias medallas en exposiciones Universales sus trabajos de ebanistería y mobiliario son codiciados por la alta sociedad parisina y alcanzan en la actualidad elevadas cotizaciones.
