Renault Type BK Coupe Chauffeur Bellvallette from 1909 in very good condition.

This car was registered in Barcelona in 1909 in the name of Mr Suvirana, one of the founders of the Royal Automobile Club of Catalonia. It was rescued in the 60s and given a minor restoration to be used in the rallies of the time.

Afterwards it was stored for about 40 years until it was discovered and put into service by an important collector and restorer of pre-war vehicles in Barcelona. The mechanics have been overhauled, the front seat reupholstered and the original size rims fitted.

A dynastart has also been fitted for electric starting, as the car was originally fitted with a crank starter only. The car's subsequent participation in a number of events was a great success. In 1998, it was awarded best car in the Protagonistas Rally. It has also won its category several times in the prestigious Barcelona-Sitges Rally.

It is currently in very good condition. All the original elements are perfectly preserved and have a beautiful patina. The beautiful Coupe-Chofer bodywork is the work of the Parisian master Bellvallette, one of the most respected craftsmen of the time.

As can be seen in the photos, it retains the Bellvallette badge, as well as the Bleriot headlamps, which were also made in Paris. It currently has all its paperwork in order, including its number plate, which identifies it as the 684th car ever registered in Barcelona, a city the car has never left in more than 100 years.
