La Memovox est une montre emblématique de Jaeger-LeCoultre, lancée en 1950. Elle est célèbre pour être la première montre-bracelet à alarme mécanique, une innovation majeure à l’époque. Le nom "Memovox" vient des mots latins "memo" (se souvenir) et "vox" (voix), reflétant sa fonction d’alarme mécanique audible.
Le calibre P489/1 est un mouvement à remontage manuel, doté de 17 rubis, et est réputé pour sa fiabilité et sa précision. Ce mouvement permet une autonomie indépendante pour le mouvement principal et la fonction alarme, une prouesse technique pour l’époque.
La Memovox a été adoptée par des personnalités célèbres et reste très prisée des collectionneurs pour son design intemporel et son importance historique dans l’horlogerie.
La fonction alarme est actionnée par un marteau qui frappe le boîtier, produisant un son distinctif.
