BESCHRIJVING
Een schitterend en authentiek Hereke-zijden tapijt, met uitzonderlijk vakmanschap en artistieke finesse met de hand geknoopt in Turkije. Volledig vervaardigd uit natuurlijke zijde op een zijden ketting en inslag, toont dit tapijt de karakteristieke glans en verfijning die de beste Hereke-tapijten onderscheiden.

Het ontwerp is gecentreerd rond een bloemenvormige vaas geflankeerd door twee pauwen, symbolen van schoonheid, welvaart en harmonie. Fijn geweven florale randen omlijsten het centrale motief, uitgevoerd in een geraffineerd kleurenpalet van warme terracotta, olijfgroen, robijnrood, ivoor en goud.

Dit tapijt in klein formaat weerspiegelt de meesterschap van de Hereke-wevers, die sinds de 19e eeuw zijden hofkwaliteitstapijten produceren voor het Ottomaanse paleis. Door het compacte formaat en het verfijnde patroon is het ideaal geschikt om te tonen als decoratief wandtapijt of tafelstuk.

CONDITIE
Uitstekende staat. De zijden vezels zijn levendig en glanzend gebleven, zonder zichtbare herstellingen of verkleuringen. De franjes zijn volledig en schoon. De achterzijde toont een strakke en gelijkmatige knoopstructuur, wat de authenticiteit van dit handgeknoopte Hereke-tapijt bevestigt.
