About the Book
The Flaw is a detective–psychological novel that became an international success, translated into 31 languages and widely acclaimed for its depth and style. It won the prestigious “12” Award in Greece (1966) and the Grand Prize for Detective Literature in France (1970). In 1975, the novel was adapted into a French feature film. The work has often been compared to writings by Franz Kafka, Arthur Koestler, and George Orwell, for its exploration of authoritarianism, morality, and the fragility of human freedom.

About the Author
Antonis Samarakis (1919–2003) was one of Greece’s most celebrated post-war authors, noted for his powerful explorations of humanism, social alienation, and the dangers of totalitarianism. His works remain widely read, making him one of the most translated Greek writers of the 20th century, second only to Nikos Kazantzakis.
