Oak sculpture made by Maurice "De Pelle" Pelgrims (1941-2019).

Maurice Pelgrims was a sculptor active in Antwerp, Belgium.  He had a strong appreciation for oakwood, ideally salvaged and as old as possible. Defining his style were the closed eyes and often oversized hands.

He exhibited in countless Flemish galeries during his 50 year-long artistic practice.

The sculpture is finished using beeswax and is in pristine condition. The maker's mark can be found on the briefcase. The item will be carefully packaged.
