Description de l’œuvre :

Deux carpes koï s’élèvent dans un mouvement circulaire, comme suspendues dans une radiographie humaine.
L’ossature thoracique et la colonne vertébrale apparaissent en arrière-plan, transformant la cage thoracique en un bassin symbolique où la vie se régénère.

Carpe Diem explore la rencontre entre l’imagerie médicale et la tradition asiatique : la rigueur de l’anatomie croise la fluidité de l’eau, la carpe s’inscrit dans la structure osseuse comme pour rappeler que chaque instant de vie est à saisir.

Le contraste entre le noir et blanc précis du squelette et l’éclat rouge-orangé des écailles attire immédiatement le regard. Une dualité entre permanence (l’os) et mouvement (le poisson), entre rigueur scientifique et poésie spirituelle.
