biografia: 
Pittore sovietico ucraino ed artista grafico. Membro dell'Unione Nazionale degli Artisti. Artista Onorato del SSR (1966), Cittadino Onorario Starobelska, è nato a Starobilsk (ora Lugansk) il 16 giugno del 1915.
Nel 1934-1937 ha studiato pittura presso il Collegio d'Arte di Kharkov.
Dopo la laurea ha continuato presso l'Istituto d'Arte di Kharkov (1937-1942). Dal 1944 al 1947 è direttore del Collegio d'Arte di Kharkiv. Dal 1947 ha insegnato presso l'Istituto d'Arte di Kharkov, Professore Associato dal 1961, Professore dal 1977.  Ha lavorato nel genere del paesaggio, ritratto, natura morta, pittura di genere.
Ha iniziato ad esporre in mostre Repubblicane, mostre d'arte nazionali e internazionali dal 1945. E' morto a Kharkiv il 24.10.1990.
