Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) - Vintage pair of Wassily B3 chairs, made by Gavina (Milan) in 1962 from a 1925 design 

In perfect condition. Their aesthetics and charm represent one of the most important examples of exclusive design from the last century. 

Height 73 cm (seat height 36) x width 77 x depth 68 

Made from leather with chromed metal inserts 
The leather is black. 

Tag present ('Gavina'), M. Breuer signature printed on the leather. 
Some minor signs of age-related wear but overall the chairs are in perfect condition; the chrome plating is intact with no tarnishing. 

It is a production from the 60’s by Gavina, the predecessor of Knoll. The chairs have the original sticker and the signature stamp in the leather, the later versions are not equipped with this stamp. 
The model B3 chair, commonly known as the Wassily Chair, is arguably one of the most recognizable designs of Marcel Breuer - the legendary modernist and an iconic figure of 20th century architecture and design, who abandoned the idea of ornamental, bourgeois forms in favour of elegant simplicity. Breuer was still an apprentice at the Bauhaus when he designed the Model B3 Chair, the chair which would change the world of furniture forever.
