Cimer – Sport Chronometer – Chromed – 39 mm – Mechanical – 1960s

The Cimer Sport is a rare and unusual Swiss sports chronometer from the 1960s, designed with racing inspiration. Housed in a 39 mm chromed case with a rotating bezel, it features an acrylic crystal and a bold black dial with subdials, built for timing precision.

This model functions both as a watch and a chronometer. When used as a regular watch, it shows hours and minutes. Engaging the chronometer via the two pushers activates the central seconds hand, while the subdials track elapsed time — one a 40-minute counter and the other a 6-hour counter. To reset the chronometer, all hands must be aligned at 12 o’clock before restarting.

Powered by a Swiss mechanical movement, this Cimer Sport reflects the era’s innovation when watches were electronically timed at production. The car motif engraved on the case back suggests it was originally intended for racing use.

Condition is graded B+, with some signs of use consistent with its age, but overall in good condition. It is presented with a generic box.
