Marino Piotti, in arte Dean Marino, classe 1982 é Uno Scultore designer Italiano originario della Valtrompia. Fin da ragazzino vive un rapporto viscerale con gli elementi della propria terra. Realizza sculture con elementi naturali come il legno e il ferro, dando una nuova vita ad essi, e mantenendo costantemente il forte legame con le sue origini.
Il suo obiettivo é creare una connessione imprescindibile tra uomo e natura.
La sua mission é la rigenerazione della materia.

I nodi e le cicatrici naturali sono emanazione della filosofia Wabi-sabi che avvolge la scultura

Tecnica utilizzata: 
Yakisugi (焼杉) è un metodo tradizionale giapponese di conservazione del legno .
 Yaki significa riscaldare con il fuoco e sugi è cipresso .  In Occidente viene indicato come rivestimento in legno bruciato e noto anche come shou sugi ban (焼杉板) che utilizza gli stessicaratteri kanji ma una pronuncia errata . 
Il carattere ban significa " tavola ".
Carbonizzando leggermente la superficie del legno senza bruciare l'intero pezzo, il legno diventa impermeabile attraverso la carbonizzazione ed è quindi più resistente. 
 Inoltre protegge dagli insetti, oltre a rendere il legno ignifugo.

Filosofia:
Wabi-sabi (侘寂) costituisce una visione del mondo giapponese, o estetica, fondata sull'accettazione della transitorietà e dell'imperfezione delle cose. Tale visione, talvolta descritta come "bellezza imperfetta, impermanente e incompleta" deriva dalla dottrina buddhista dell'anitya (impermanenza)
