Petrus Regout - Set of 5 ceramic plates with 'MILLER' pattern in Mulberry (Purple)
Maastricht, circa 1870–1900
This lot consists of a complete set of five (5) earthenware plates, produced by the renowned Dutch manufacturer Petrus Regout & Co. in Maastricht. The plates are executed in the underglaze transfer print technique with the decorative 'MILLER' pattern in the rarer deep purple (Mulberry) color scheme. These pieces represent the flourishing period of Dutch industrial ceramics.
Object type: Dinerborden (5 pieces).
Manufacturer: Petrus Regout & Co., Maastricht, the Netherlands.
Pattern: 'MILLER'. The design depicts a romantic, landscape scene with architecture, figures, and a richly detailed, floral border.
Color: Mulberry (deep purple), a sought-after variant within the transferware assortment.
Diameter: 25.5 centimeters
Dating: Estimated around 1870 – 1900.
