Le Décaméron by Boccace, an illustrated edition in three volumes with 220 original in- and out-of-text engravings by Raoul Serres, published by La Belle Edition, Paris, in French, soft covers, 25 x 20 cm, 802 pages, complete with inserted plates, and one of 100 Vélin pur chiffon copies (No. 145) with a black-suite of illustrations.

The Decameron by Jean Boccace, Florentine poet - Illustrated with 220 original compositions both outside and within the text by Raoul Serres (1881-1971), a notable engraver in burin and a great illustrator - The watercolors were reproduced by Duval and hand-colored in the workshops of Maurice Beaufumé.
La Belle Edition, Paris (without date) circa 1950 - Superb copy. Complete 3 volumes, soft covers in cream with raised bands and titles in red and black on the upper covers and spines, housed in cardboard slipcases and cartons - 300, 270, 232 pages, format: In-8° (20 x 25 cm) - Table of Contents: see photos -
