Description from the seller

Up for auction is a nice old full size french violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Grandjon & Fils Mirecourt (Vosges) modele d'apres Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis faciebat anno 1721 AS. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 359 mm. The total length of the violin is 590 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 167 mm; middle bouts: 114 mm; lower bouts: 205 mm. Medium grained spruce top, golden brown reddish varnish. This violin is in a good used condition, with no visible cracks, new rosewood set up and new strings. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. The sound is very powerful, sweet, mellow and rich.
Additional photos will be provided upon request. Shipping worldwide insured

Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
