Roger Mühl, born on December 20, 1929, in Strasbourg, died on April 4, 2008, in Mougins, was a French painter, draftsman, and sculptor.
He entered the National School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg, from which he graduated in 1948, then moved to the Belfort territory. He settled in 1954 in Montreux-Château and held his first Paris exhibition at the Galerie de Paris in 1960. Subsequently, he exhibited in Geneva, London, Milan, Dallas, Cologne, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Kyoto, Belfort, and New York. He mainly worked along the French Riviera. He was considered a figurative painter, a painter of Provence and its landscapes, above all a painter of light and atmosphere; his impasto techniques served his approach to establish perspectives suggested solely by color.
