Vase mounted lamp - Porcelain

This is a blue-and-white porcelain vase that has been converted into a table lamp.
Blue-and-white porcelain is an ancient craft in which cobalt blue pigment is applied under a clear glaze to a white body.
High-quality glazes and detailed, hand-painted motifs contribute to the value of such items.
The depicted piece has a slender neck and a bulbous base, decorated with bird and flower motifs, and was later fitted with a lamp fitting, a small renovation to the neck-fitting.
