Gorgeous vintage art glass vase by Jiří Brabec(1933–2005), hand pressed glass (or crystal?). Hand polished bottom. Created for Sklo Union, Rosice. Dated 1978. (According some sources - earlier.) The gentle explosion of glass and extraordinary shape make this piece extra special. With sculptural approach to the matter. It is in perfect preservation. Very decorative, astonishing piece of art, with magic presence in the room space. Different from each angle of view. It is in excellent vintage condition, no chips and cracks, no repairs. Height: 18.5 cm. Width max: ca. 9 cm. Weight: 1.041 kg. Jiří Brabec is legendary artist in Czech glass of XXc. He graduated College of Arts and Crafts in Prague under Professor Karel Štipl (1953-59) Studied together with Vízner, Jurnikl and Urban. In 1965, he started his most active period in Rosice near Brno, where created over 200 designs. All information provided to the best of my knowledge and belief. Pictures are part of description.
