JCJ Vanderheyden (1928-2012) - Zonder titel

JCJ Vanderheyden (1928-2012) Zonder titel, 1964 Signed and dated 'Apr. 1964 Jacques van der Heyden' (on the reverse) Watercolour on paper Sheet: 15 x 12cm. Overall: 45 x 41.5 x 4cm. Provenance Kees Broos, Arnhem (acquired directly from the artist). Private Collection, The Netherlands. The Exceptional Sale spans all areas of the arts: Modern and Contemporary Art, Photography, Prints and Multiples, and Classical Art. Though diverse, each piece is united by its exceptional quality. Bouc-peintre (Goat-Painter) by Marc Chagall is one of the sale's highlights. Dedicated to Willem Sandberg, the former director of the Stedelijk Museum, the work boasts significant provenance and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the Comité Marc Chagall on 16 May 2024. Outstanding quality is evident in every lot, with works by some of the greatest artists: paintings by Lucassen, Jonathan Meese, Van Koningsbruggen, and Armando; works on paper by Markus Lüpertz, Breitner, Corneille, and Von Graevenitz; multiples by Yves Klein, Cy Twombly, Jan Schoonhoven, and Lawrence Weiner; and photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe and Steve McQueen. The sale concludes with two paintings by Willem Bastiaan Tholen. Particularly noteworthy is a unique ceramic relief in four parts by Bram Bogart, painted in blue and white. The work challenges the limitations of two-dimensionality and exemplifies his iconic, sculptural approach to painting. Transport and Shipping Local pickup is available, preferred, and free of charge. Seller delivery within the Netherlands and Belgium may be arranged by mutual agreement. Shipping fees are listed per country and serve as an indication of the estimated shipping costs for the purposes of this auction. These fees are approximate and may vary after the auction based on actual shipping expenses. Shipping charges do not include (i) any applicable local taxes and handling fees; or (ii) any customs duties, import taxes, or local clearance fees applicable in your country. Alternatively, you may request a transport quote from providers such as Easy2Send or DHL Express internationaal. Please note that items framed behind glass may be sent unframed to reduce shipping costs, and to protect the artwork. The frame included in the photos was added to the artwork by the seller or another third party. The frame is provided to you at no additional cost so it’s ready to display as soon as it arrives. The frame is included as a courtesy and isn’t seen as integral to the artwork. So any potential damages to the frame that don’t affect the artwork itself, won’t be accepted as a valid reason to open a claim or request to cancel the order. #TableauQ2
