Esta caja de madera de palo santo del 1900's es una pieza refinada y funcional, concebida para el resguardo de joyas en un entorno doméstico de alto nivel.

Tallada en palo santo, una madera noble de gran densidad y aroma característico, presenta una estructura sólida con vetas oscuras y profundas que aportan elegancia natural. Su diseño responde al gusto colonial, con herrajes metálicos decorativos en esquinas y cierre, probablemente de latón, que refuerzan tanto la estética como la durabilidad.

El interior está cuidadosamente revestido en terciopelo verde, un material lujoso que protege las piezas delicadas y añade contraste cromático al conjunto. Incluye cajones extraíbles, lo que sugiere una organización pensada para anillos, colgantes y pequeños objetos de valor, típica de los joyeros personales de época.

A pesar de la falta de un remache, la caja se conserva en buen estado, con signos mínimos de desgaste que no afectan su funcionalidad ni su atractivo visual. Este tipo de piezas eran comunes en hogares burgueses o coloniales británicos, donde el mobiliario combinaba utilidad con ornamentación sobria.
