A very fine example from the art review En Puisaye (issue No. 16), adorned with five compositions printed on a typographic press and offset for the blacks (Italic Impressions) based on the sketches related to the engravings Le Rat des sables, Le Maréchal des logis, La Taupe hilare, L'Otarie savante, and Le Tambour-major (Maeght editions).
Accompanied by Raymond Queneau's text, excerpt from the preface of 'Miro lithographe' (volume II), published in 1975.
Limited edition of 2000 copies, this one bears No. 16.
On leaves, under a cover printed with a composition by Miro.
In very good condition, minimal friction at the jaws. Impeccable interior.
Joan Miró, born in Barcelona on April 20, 1893, and died in Palma de Majorca on December 25, 1983, was a Catalan painter, sculptor, engraver, and ceramist. Defining himself primarily as an 'international Catalan,' he is one of the leading representatives of the surrealist movement.
