Description from the seller
GENERAL:
The Aston Martin DBS is an iconic British grand tourer, built in Newport Pagnell in 1969. This example carries chassis number DBS/5630/R and is an original right-hand-drive vehicle.
It is equipped with desirable period options such as power steering, Picco horns, and the original Radiomobile radio. The car has been fully restored and refinished in its original Olive Green color, famously associated with the DBS featured in the On Her Majesty’s Secret Service starring George Lazenby.
BODYWORK and PAINTWORK:
This is a Series 2 DBS, identifiable by the revised design features compared to the Series 1. The rear side louvres have been removed and replaced by a single louvre beneath the rear window. Additionally, the car features a front spoiler and wider sills—design elements later carried over to the DBS V8 models.
The body has been fully restored and repainted in its original Olive Green, presenting in excellent condition.
TECHNICAL:
The car is powered by the 4.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, equipped with triple SU carburetors, all of which have been fully overhauled. This setup delivers strong performance and a refined driving experience.
Originally fitted with an automatic transmission, this DBS has been upgraded to a 5-speed Tremec manual gearbox, significantly enhancing driver engagement and overall handling.
The 6-cylinder DBS models are widely regarded as offering superior balance and handling characteristics due to their lighter weight compared to the V8 variants.
INTERIOR:
The interior has been fully restored and is finished in high-quality Strawberry Red leather, offering a striking contrast to the exterior color.
The speedometer has been converted to kilometers per hour, including the correct transmission gear modification to ensure accurate readings.
DOCUMENTS:
Chassis number: DBS/5630/R
Original right-hand-drive specification.
Further documentation details can be provided upon request.
PICK-UP:
Collection of the vehicle can be arranged in consultation with the seller. Transport options may be available upon request.

Request help with registration from a third-party service provider.Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
