The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland - Vinyl record - 1st Stereo pressing - 1968

1. General information Artist: The Jimi Hendrix Experience Title: Electric Ladyland Label: Reprise Records (US) Catalog Number: 6307 (Standard catalog # 2RS 6307) Format: 2 x Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, Gatefold Country: USA Year: 1968 Edition: First US Pressing (Presumed based on W7 logo) 2. Description This is an original US copy of the seminal double album Electric Ladyland, featuring the classic "blurred" burning Hendrix artwork (unlike the controversial UK "Nude Ladies" cover). The most critical detail on this copy is the "W7" (Warner Bros.-Seven Arts) logo box located on the front cover next to the Reprise "r" symbol. This logo was only used during the short partnership between Warner Bros. and Seven Arts (approx. 1967–1969). Its presence on the jacket strongly identifies this as a First Edition or very early 1968/69 pressing. Later issues (post-1970) strictly feature the Reprise logo without the "W7" branding. 3. Condition Media: Mint / Still Sealed (SS). The record has never been opened or played. Sleeve: VG+ (Very Good Plus). While the album remains sealed in its original shrink wrap, it exhibits signs of shelf wear consistent with its age: There is a noticeable tear in the shrink wrap along the spine edge, exposing the cardboard (visible in the photos). The bottom left corner has a significant bump and some fraying where the shrink has pulled back. The bottom right corner also shows moderate bumping. Despite these flaws, the cover art remains vibrant with no apparent ring wear or fading. 4. Notes for collectors THIS IS A RARE FIRST EDITION. Finding a Sealed copy of Electric Ladyland with the "W7" logo is exceptionally difficult. This logo confirms the jacket was printed during the album's initial release window in 1968. Most sealed copies found today are later reissues (which lack the W7 branding) or modern represses. While we cannot inspect the labels inside without breaking the seal, the "W7" jacket is the definitive marker for the earliest US pressings. This is a massive upgrade for any Hendrix collection, preserving the album exactly as it sat in record store bins over 50 years ago. 5. Matrix/labels Matrix / Runout: Unknown (Sealed) Label Design: Presumed to be the "Two-Tone" Orange/Tan Reprise label (standard for W7 era) or the Tri-Color label (exceedingly rare), but confirmation would require opening the album. #LesInrocks
