Description from the seller
WMF Samovar / Tea Urn – Germany, ca. 1895–1910
Elegant antique samovar by the renowned German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), produced around the turn of the 20th century, during the transition from Historicism to Jugendstil (Art Nouveau).
The piece is made of silver-plated metal and displays a refined and well-balanced design. Decorative elements include shell motifs, slender tripod legs ending in paw feet, a functional spigot, and a domed lid with a finely shaped finial. The overall craftsmanship and quality are characteristic of WMF’s high production standards.
The samovar includes its original alcohol burner, which requires restoration, as the handle is missing. This has been taken into account and is reflected in the condition description.
