Antique Georgian sterling silver pair of rare telescopic candlesticks, having round baluster bases and plain straight-sided collumns, all with hand-chased melon-fluted decoration and applied gadroon borders and scones. Scones are detachable. Made in Sheffield, 1813 (212 years old) Made by John Roberts & Co Fully English hallmarked for sterling silver 925. The dimensions of this fine pair of hand-made antique silver candlesticks are: Length 21.5 - 28.3 cm Wide at base 12 x 12 cm Approx. 530 + 613 = 1143 gram (Bruto weight, weighted for stability with materials other then silver) (bobèches weigh 53 grams together). Condition: Very good condition. Hard to believe they are 212 years old. Telescopic function works well. They have a slight lean when fully extended. Look at my other adverts for more quality silver.
