Ancient Roman bronze military openwork applique, about 44.2 × 44 mm, complete with four rivets on the reverse, in good condition with an olive-green patina, dating to the 2nd–4th century AD and originally attached to a leather strap.

Roman bronze military openwork applique which was attached on a leather strap or belt. The applique shows a horse standing to left with its foreleg resting on a pedestal. The horse shows very detailed engravings and the border shows scrollwork engravings. The applique is complete with the 4 rivets on the reverse.
