Description from the seller
A prestigious editorial work that gathers 4 songs by Giacomo Leopardi and 5 etchings by Walter Valentini on Miliani paper from Fabriano is the gift from the President of the Region, Gian Mario Spacca, on behalf of the Marche community, to Pope Benedict XVI on the occasion of his visit to Ancona. It is a testament of deep gratitude for the hope, trust, and guidance that the presence of the Pontiff has brought with his visit.
The signed and numbered engravings by the artist were printed on hand presses by Giancarlo Sardella in Milan on Colombe Duchene Moulins de Larroqueda paper, 600 grams. The texts were impressed by Arti Grafiche Nava in Milan on Italia paper, 130 grams, from Cartiera Miliani in Fabriano. The case was made by Enzo Castagnari in Recanati, and the texts are translated into English. The edition, created in collaboration with the Centro Nazionale di Studi Leopardiani in Recanati, was carefully prepared by Alessandro Sartori for 'Unaluna' and completed in June 1997.
