Description from the seller

1. Introduction
A fine full-size violin from a European workshop, unlabeled, displaying elegant Cremonese proportions and a beautifully aged varnish in warm orange-brown tones. Offered as a well-preserved and playable instrument, complete with setup and additional new bridge.

2. Historical and Artistic Context
This violin represents the solid craftsmanship typical of early to mid-20th-century Central European workshops. Such instruments were carefully modeled after Stradivari and Guarneri patterns and are valued for their reliability, tonal balance, and visual refinement.

3. Craftsmanship and Materials
The violin features a two-piece flamed maple back with matching ribs and a finely grained spruce top. The transparent amber varnish reveals the natural figure of the wood beneath. Ebony fittings complement the classical outline and traditional edgework.

4. Tonal Character and Playability
The instrument produces a clear, resonant, and balanced tone, suitable for intermediate to advanced players. It offers excellent projection and a responsive lower register, making it a dependable performance violin.

5. Condition
No visible damage or cracks. The soundpost is well fitted and stable.
Currently fitted with an older bridge in good functional condition, and an additional new bridge (uncut) is included for professional fitting if desired.
Strings are complete and playable. No case included.
