2022 Chateau Bellevue Figeac - Saint-Émilion Grand Cru - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

6 bottles of Chateau Bellevue Figeac Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. The vintage is the (outstanding) 2022. History: Château Bellevue-Figeac is a small, historic winery located in the western part of the Saint-Émilion appellation, in a privileged location on the edge of the famous plateau. The estate takes its name from its immediate proximity to the iconic Château Figeac, and shares with it an exceptional terroir of gravel and sand with deep clay and iron-rich subsoils. The château’s history dates back to the 19th century and the estate has long been a well-kept secret among connoisseurs. In recent decades, Château Bellevue-Figeac has invested heavily in quality, with a renewal of the vineyards and modernisation of the cellar. The approach focuses on sustainable viticulture, low yields and precise vinification – resulting in a wine that is increasingly referred to as “the hidden gem” of Saint-Émilion. With only ± 6 hectares in production, it is a boutique estate, where precision and terroir expression are key. The plantings consist mainly of Merlot (about 70%), with additions of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon – typical of the Right Bank of Bordeaux. This wine estate is located near Chateau Figeac (1er Grand Cru Classé), Chateau La Marzelle (Grand Cru Classé) and Pomerol. The wine: Château Bellevue-Figeac 2022 is an expressive and refined Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from an exceptionally warm and balanced vintage. Coming from a historic terroir on the southwestern flank of the Saint-Émilion plateau, bordering prestigious neighbours such as Figeac and Cheval Blanc, this wine shows the elegant interplay of power, finesse and aging potential. In the glass, the wine reveals a deep ruby red colour. The bouquet opens with notes of ripe cherries, blackcurrant and a hint of violets, supported by subtle spiciness, cedar and roasted coffee from the refined barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is silky smooth with beautifully integrated tannins, lively freshness and a long, mineral finish. The single bottles (no case) will be shipped to you in a professional, secure, protective packaging.
