Description from the seller

Rare set of four 1-light candleholders - silver - Netherlands

Whether it is a traditionally set table or other modern forms of table culture, sparkling candles are indispensable. Depending on the occasion or the simplicity of the table settings, there is much to choose from, from candelabra to candlestick.
To have suitable candle lighting for both an extensive table and a tete-a-tete occasion, a set of candlesticks is offered that, when pushed together, create a candelabrum-like statement and, spread across the table, emphasize modern table culture.

Finding a set of four identical 1-light candlesticks on the market is rare and justifies calling this set scarce. The silver content, condition, and craftsmanship further emphasize this.
The multiply segmented stem is mounted on a round base decorated with Godrons.
The smooth, conical part of the stem rests on a ribbed, baluster-shaped intermediate piece. The transition to the crater-shaped candle holder is formed by knot-like intermediate sections.
All four candlesticks are undamaged and unfilled. Due to their weight and dimensions, they have a stable stand.
All four candlesticks have been inspected in accordance, probably dating from 1890 - 1900. Three stamps are applied along the foot: one indicating the fineness (.900), a master mark (worn and therefore unreadable to me), and the control stamp for the second fineness of large and small used items (Z II), which suggests origin from the Netherlands or a re-inspection for an imported product.
