Description from the seller
Tree Scene 30|Namiki Hajime 並木一(なみき はじめ)
This woodblock print is a representative work from Namiki Hajime’s renowned “Tree Scene” series, in which he explores the vitality and quiet dynamism of trees through a refined and distinctive visual language.
Gold and silver leaf are lavishly applied to the background, over which oil-based pigments are layered. This technique creates a remarkable depth and weight rarely seen in traditional woodblock prints, resulting in a richly textured surface with a strong sense of spatial presence.
The intricate silhouettes of the trees convey both stillness and latent energy, reflecting the artist’s unique perspective on nature and its enduring life force.
This work is a limited edition of 300, number 3/300.
The title, signature, and year of creation are all handwritten in pencil by the artist.
