A hand-blown iridescent glass studio vase in the vintage Jack-in-the-Pulpit form, circa 2000–2010, measuring 28 cm high, 16 cm wide and 10 cm deep, signed on the rim and originating from the United States.
Description from the seller
Offered: A very beautiful hand-blown studio glass vase in the classic ‘Jack-in-the-Pulpit’ shape, characterized by a tall, slender stem and a flower-shaped cup. The vase is made of iridescent glass with a rich rainbow sheen and refined, symmetrical line structures that extend from the stem into the cup. The color play changes depending on the light incidence, giving the object a strongly sculptural character. The vase is hand-signed on the rim of the cup (signature not identified), indicating work by an individual glass artist. The placement and style of the signature are typical for American studio glass from the late 20th / early 21st century. The vase was purchased in 2006 from the Corning Museum of Glass (USA), a leading institution in the field of glass art. The shape references historical designs, including the well-known ‘Jack-in-the-Pulpit’ vases by L.C. Tiffany, but this is a modern studio art object, not a factory production.
