A pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain garlic-head vases. China, most probably late Ming dynasty (1368-1644, 大明), 16/17th century. Both painted to the exterior with a continuous scene depicting a riverside lanscape with islands, trees, dwellings and fishermen on boats. Foot-rim with some kiln-grit, base with radiating "chatter" marks typical for Ming ceramics. Daylight pictures included. Dimensions: height - 21,5 / 22 cm; diameter – c. 12 cm. Weight – 662 / 606 g. Conditions report: excellent condition considering the age. One vase with small chips and short hairline to the top-rim. Second vase with a chip to the top-rim only. Typical for period firing faults. Use- / age-related scratches to the glaze in places. Strong white-light tested. Check pictures for details. Worldwide delivery with online tracking.
