Art Deco gilded silver brooch by Theodor Fahrner, circa 1935, featuring a central light blue spinel (likely synthetic) with a total stone weight of 9.25 ct, weighing 10.5 g and bearing the TF 925 Fahrner mark.
Description from the seller
A beautiful art deco gilded silver brooch by Theodor Fahrner. In 1908, the company introduced two collections of filigree wire jewelry for the first time, a technique that would remain popular into the thirties. Theodor Fahrner Jr. himself designed several pieces using this technique.
This brooch features a typical Art Deco design and is made of gilded silver. It dates from around 1935. In the center, a light blue Spinel is set. The gemstone tester indicates that it is a Spinel, but it is almost certainly a synthetic stone. The tester does not distinguish because the base material is exactly the same. The pin of the brooch is no longer perfectly straight, and the clasp now functions as a C-hook because the safety catch is missing.
Dimensions: 2.7 x 4.5 cm
Weight: 10.5 grams
Keuren: TF trademark - 925 - Fahrner
