2017 Tenute Silvio Nardi - Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

Brunello di Montalcino 2017 DESCRIPTION: Producer: Tenute Silvio Nardi Wine: Brunello di Montalcino Vintage: 2017 Number of Bottles: 6 Size:0,75 Grapes: 100% Sangiovese Aging: 12 months in French barrique then 12 months in Slavonian big oak barrels Alc.: 15,5% The Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino is a Sangiovese with a warm and full character, the result of a blend of several estate-owned vineyards. Indeed, the underlying goal behind this wine is to find a balance between the expressions of the different parcels present in the blend, allowing each to express its own qualities without ever overpowering the others. This is the philosophy that has always guided the Nardi family, whose property extends across two different estates and slopes: Casale del Bosco to the west and Manachiara to the east, each with highly diverse microclimates and soils. The Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino is a 100% Sangiovese Grosso, sourced from several vineyards in the municipality of Montalcino, generally characterized by soils rich in jasper and clayey schist. Exposure varies from northwest to southeast, while the average altitude is 350 meters above sea level. Following the manual harvest of the grapes, carried out during the second half of September, the red wine is vinified through alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with at least 20 days of maceration on the skins. The subsequent aging process takes place in second-use Allier oak barriques for the first 12 months and in large Slavonian oak barrels for the next 12 months. Finally, after at least 6 additional months of bottle ageing, the wine is ready for release. Tenute Silvio Nardi's Brunello di Montalcino is an intense ruby red in color with garnet highlights. The nose reveals clean, elegant, and complex aromas of ripe berries, anise, and vanilla, interspersed with ethereal notes. The palate is warm and smooth, with excellent structure, well-integrated tannins, and a pleasantly persistent finish.
