Description from the seller

Antique seal in brass alloy and cornelian – France, second half of the 19th century

Finely crafted office plaque featuring a very dense relief decoration in the Neoclassical / Louis XVI style: garlands, acanthus leaves, flutes, and a central floral medallion.

The modeling is deep and clear, typical of French craftsmanship from the mid-19th century.

The summit is adorned with a perfectly polished cabochon of natural carnelian, with a clear and uniform orange-red color.

The matrix (in golden brass) bears a monogram engraved backwards, intended for the imprint:
Letter 'O' (Gothic style) alone, stylized and surrounded by scrolls.

Dimensions: height: 9 cm - matrix dimensions: 3 × 2.5 cm

Condition: very good overall condition. Small signs of use consistent with age. Gilding well preserved. Stone intact. No structural dents.

High-quality decorative cachet, heavy to hold, perfectly suitable for wax.

Provenance: Private collection.

Photos are an integral part of the description of the objects and complement their presentation. They allow you to assess their condition and characteristics. Please examine them carefully before any commitment.

The item will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.
