Antique Miniature Portrait Brooch Double Sided 19th Century Victorian Era,
Rare and elegant antique brooch featuring a rotating central compartment, designed as a double sided frame. One side displays a hand painted miniature portrait of a yougn women,protected under a glass cover. While the reverse side contains an original photograph ,making this piece both decorative and deeply sentimental. The rotating mechanism allows the central oval to turn smoothly within the ornate outer frame with decorative openwork details, typical of the 19 th century.
The miniature painting shows delicate facial features and soft coloring consistent with Victorian era portrait miniatures, which were often worn as personal or sentimental jewelry.
Such rotating portrait and photograph brooches were often worn as personal keepsakes,commemorating loved ones, and are highly sought after by collectors today.
