Artist's Biography
Antoni Sala Herrero (1927-2012) was a Spanish painter, self-taught, specializing in landscapes, marine views, and port scenes. From a young age, he showed a love for drawing and in 1967 held his first solo exhibition in Figueres. His work is characterized by luminous and colorful atmospheres, with an impressionist style. He regularly exhibited in galleries and salons in Barcelona and other Catalan towns, and received significant awards such as the Vila de Palamós (1969) and the Societé National de Beaux Arts de París (1983). His work includes landscapes of the Costa Brava and Mediterranean views, with oil paintings on canvas highly valued in the art market.
