Ludwig van Beethoven - Beethoven: Symphony No. 7, Op. 92 (Steiner, Plate 2566) [COMPLETE 79] - 1816

A remarkable contemporary document of musical history: The first edition arrangement of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92. This edition was published in Vienna in November 1816 by S.A. Steiner & Comp., Beethoven’s primary publisher during this period. Unlike later 19th-century reprints, this is a "lifetime edition" produced while the composer was living and working in Vienna. • Format: Piano Four-Hands (Piano Duet). • Completeness: Fully Complete. Includes the rare Dedication Page to Empress Elizabeth Alexeievna of Russia, the Main Title Page (Plate No. 2566), and all 79 pages of engraved musical score. • Plate Number: 2566 (Confirmed First State/First Edition per Kinsky-Halm). • Provenance: Features a fine 19th-century contemporary ownership signature on the title page: "Louise v. S...", adding significant historical character to the piece. Condition Report: Condition :natural age-related foxing and toning throughout, consistent with 200-year-old rag paper. There is a vertical tear to the bottom right of the title page (not affecting text) and minor edge wear. The musical notation remains crisp, dark, and perfectly legible. Please see pictures. A rare opportunity to own a complete "Lifetime Beethoven" score.
