Walter Valentini (1928) - La città del sole

Splendid work from the 1980s by Walter Valentini, preserved in a plexiglass display case measuring 30x30x8 cm.
Water Valentini was an internationally renowned Italian painter, sculptor, and engraver. He established himself in the 1980s with abstract works on board and paper, characterized by a precise sense of geometry and rhythm.
His works are influenced by the Russian avant-gardes of the twentieth century and Italian art of the Quattrocento.
He explored themes such as space, time, and cosmography, using techniques like etching, aquatint, and lithography. In fact, he was also a great engraver recognized internationally.
His works are exhibited in museum and private collections around the world.
He won first prize at the Listowell International Biennale in 1982 and the Grand Prix at the Krakow International Biennale in 1984. He exhibited at the MoMA in New York in 1992 and in other international galleries and museums.
