Early post-war work, oil on painting cardboard.
Dated on the back: 2.4.50, signed with 'D. Wulff' and location Büttelbronn.
This early work by Dieter Wulff was created shortly after his escape from Danzig in 1945 and thus belongs to the artist's early post-war works. The still life depicts a view into the studio: painting tools, brushes, and bottles, captured with dynamic brushwork and vigorous application of color.
The work documents not only Wulff's artistic development in the immediate post-war period but also carries a personal history: it comes directly from the artist's family estate.
