Chaque bouton présente un décor guilloché rayonnant blanc, entouré d’un cerclage en émail bleu cobalt, ponctué de motifs circulaires, et rehaussé d’un cabochon central ovale rouge, très probablement en cornaline ou agate rouge, pierre décorative typique du début du XXᵉ siècle. Le revers porte des poinçons britanniques lisibles, comprenant : • le lion passant (argent sterling 925), • l’ancre de Birmingham, • la lettre de date “u”, correspondant à l’année 1919, • le poinçon de fabricant “AJ”.
