Wall console with an onyx top – in baroque/rococo style – mid-20th century
Elegant wall console in carved and painted wood, with a top in natural onyx featuring typical veining in light green and brown tones. The structure showcases rich decoration with scrolls and foliate motifs in baroque/rococo style, with a double sinuous leg joined at the bottom. The ivory-toned lacquer finish is enhanced with gilding on the raised parts.
The onyx top is shaped and polished, with prominent veins and a wavy edge. The carved wooden structure is of artisanal craftsmanship, typical of Italian decorative production of the mid-twentieth century.
Estimated period: 1950s to 1960s.
Materials: carved and painted wood, natural onyx.
Adapted as a decorative element for entrance halls, living rooms, corridors, or bedrooms, ideal for displaying small objects, vases, or ornaments. I have a pair of matching shelves available. If interested, you can find them by following my other active auctions.

Conditions
