A beautiful set of three authentic 'Koummiya' daggers from Morocco, dating from the mid-20th century. These daggers are emblematic elements of the traditional male Berber and Maghreb costume.
A prestige Koummiya: handle in carved wood in the shape of a peacock's tail, adorned with engraved metal appliqués. The sheath is richly decorated with floral and geometric motifs typical of Moroccan craftsmanship. Length 41.5 cm.
Two decorative daggers: handles and sheaths in polished bone, decorated with bands of silver metal and inlaid with red cabochons (glass paste/resin) imitating coral.
Length 34.5 cm and 33.5 cm
Good overall condition with authentic signs of wear. Presence of oxidation traces on the blades (not cleaned to preserve the historical aspect) and slight marks on the metal (see photos).
